Festivals in the Périgord Noir and the Dordogne Valley
What to do in the Périgord? What are the events and activities not to be missed?
From January to the end of December, throughout the year, there is something for everyone, not just your taste buds.
For a long time, Sarlat and the Sarlat region have shone on the cultural level almost exclusively with the theatre festival (since 1952) and the film festival (since 1991). In recent years, new festivals - especially music festivals - have been created alongside those that have existed for decades. This gives the opportunity to young and talented artists to perform, and to holidaymakers (but also to music lovers) to discover them, in magnificent places and a very pleasant atmosphere.
From now on, you can spend the summer in Périgord by going to a concert almost every evening! For the rest of the year, it's time to enjoy your taste buds!
