There's so much to see in the Dordogne
It's frustrating to come to a region only to find that what you wanted to see is too far away, that the children don't feel like driving around all day, and that you end up leaving without having seen much of what you came to see. This is all the more risky in the Dordogne, which is the third largest department in FranceThe roads are sometimes narrow and winding. It's a 3-hour drive from the north to the south of the department! That's why it's so important to choose a well-located holiday destination, and we'd say you've come to the right place! What's more, given that we're also very close to the Lot (15 km away) and the Corrèze (50 km), and that there are also some great things to see in our neighbouring regions, we can cover the whole of Cénac, all the way to the Gironde!
Of course, the table below is not exhaustive, but it will give you a fairly accurate idea of the diversity of what you can discover in one or two weeks' holiday in our gîtes.
We offer our guests a Mapstr app© geolocated and includes restaurants, shops selling local produce, picnic areas and other services. When you go to Castelnaud, for example, you can visit the castle with your tickets booked, so you won't have to queue, or miss out on a good patisserie, or spend an hour at the walnut eco-museum - or hire electric bikes for the day.
